"Tell me the diamond story, Grandpa!" the six-year-old wheedled. "One about Mommy when she was a Bob-White.

"Okay," he agreed, "If you promise to go right to sleep after."

"I promise," she answered. .

"Which diamond story do you want?" He asked brushing a hand over the blonde curls.

The innocent blue eyes peered at him as she carefully considered her options. .

"Both!" she answered, smiling slyly. "I want you to tell me both!"

This was intended originally to be a submission for CWE#26 the diamond jubilee but due to frustration with website issues, I missed the deadline. But it wasn't easy to write a 75 word story to meet the criteria, and I actually loved this story, so here it is!
